First Lady Melania Trump Visits Children’s Shelters Along The Border But Her Coat Got More Attention Than Mr. Trump Wants Or Needs

The immigration debacle isn’t going away. Lawmakers can’t pass an immigration bill that fits into the Trump administration’s plan to stop people from crossing the border illegally. Trump’s campaign message centered on immigration. According to Mr. Trump, Mexico is on a quest to send criminals and low-life individuals to the United States, so Mexico doesn’t have to deal with them. Trump claims Mexican gangs are out-of-control in the U.S., and Americans aren’t safe anymore. And the sad part about that fictitious hype is, millions of people across the country believe Trump.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions is the man Trump uses to do his immigration dirty work. Sessions is a narrow-minded southern gentleman who has no business being attorney general, according to his critics. But Trump needed someone he could push around, so Sessions got the job. And for the last 18 months, Sessions has put the country on notice using his legal but antiquated edicts and false statements. Mr. Sessions is the guy who instigated taking children away from their parents at the border, and he still stands by that decision privately, according to some Washington lawmakers.

Trump also wants to teach the immigrants who try to enter the U.S. illegally a lesson, but he went too far when he told Sessions to take children away from their parents. Some Washington lawmakers say that decision is a firm nail in his political coffin. Trump is trying to make amends by issuing an executive order that wasn’t necessary to end the border debacle. And he is trying to show Americans that he has a heart, but some Washington insiders say it’s a ruthless heart. So Trump sent his wife Melania to the border to get a firsthand look at child abuse, and she created her own media firestorm by wearing a Zara jacket with the message “I really don’t care. Do u?” on the back of the jacket. Obviously, the media went into high gear question mode. The press wants to know exactly what those words refer to, and why she chose to wear that jacket to such a sensitive place.

Melania’s spokesperson said. “It’s just a jacket with no particular meaning.” But the press isn’t buying that explanation. So Trump came up with Melania’s reason for wearing the jacket. Trump said the message was for the fake news reporters who constantly correct Trump false statements. But the press thinks there’s more to the story. Trump will do what he always does. He’ll move on and create another political controversy.
