It’s safe to say. Hillary Clinton will go down in history as one of the shining stars in the 20th and 21stcentury political arenas. Clinton has all the right ingredients. She’s super smart. She’s a lawyer, former First Lady, and she’s the winner of the popular vote in the 2016 Presidential Election. Hillary knows how to play the political game, but the game took a turn for the worse in 2016. Hillary wasn’t ready to campaign from the bottom of the barrel, according to her recent comments. But bottom barrel politics is not new. Trump just took the bottom to a deeper level, and Clinton couldn’t go there for whatever reason.
Clinton’s Democratic Party is still in shock over the Trump win. Some Republicans believe the Democrats are behind the Russian investigation and the investigation into Trump’s business transactions. Those Republicans still want to hold Hillary Clinton’s feet to the fire over her part in the 2016 campaign. Even though the Clinton email investigation is no longer relevant, Republicans say there are campaign matters concerning Clinton that need attention. The Obama administration would also be part of a Clinton investigation if the Republicans get their way. According to the Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee, the people have a right to know what Clinton and Obama were doing to protect their party in the campaign. Republicans say the behavior of some Democrats, including Clinton and Obama was sketchy at best.
The Senate and House committees want to interview several Democrats including Susan Rice, Obama’s national security advisor. And former U.N. advisor, Samantha Power, is another name that pops up in these conversations. It appears Power was in the right position at the right time, so she may pull the mask off the Clinton allegations. Both women will meet with the Senate Intelligence Committee to answer questions about the campaign. It’s a story that will never go away as long as the Republicans are under investigation, according to some people.
The question about the Russian meddling and Clinton’s tomfoolery are questions that will prompt a long list of cover-your-butt answers. Most people who follow politics know there is a dark side to the political game. That side will stay dark as long as the rules are the same, according to former President Jimmy Carter. Even when these committees get to what they think is the bottom, another question starts searching for more bottom-feeder answers.
